Kanye West and his manager Don Crowley have been hit with criminal charges for smashing a T-M-Z-dot-com reporter’s camera at the Los Angeles International Airport last September. West was charged with three misdemeanors — vandalism, battery and grand theft, while Crowley was charged with two counts each of vandalism, battery and grand theft.
Both men are scheduled to be arraigned on April 14th. Kanye could get up to two-and-a-half years behind bars if convicted, while Crowley is facing a potential five-year bid.
Meanwhile, celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton claims that he ran into West at a recent Lady Gaga show in L-A and asked the rapper about girlfriend Amber Rose’s background as a stripper. Hilton says West told him “that she was a stripper before, but he saved her, and she don’t strip no mo’.” –Chris Morrow

KANYE WEST: Gets Animated for FOX
Kanye West’s voice will pop up on The Cleveland Show, the spin-off of the animated Fox series Family Guy. Kanye recently attended a table reading for the show at Fox Studios in L-A with Taraji Henson and series regular Sanaa Lathan. Executive producer Mike Henry, who voices “Cleveland Brown” and other characters, tells People, “It was surprising to us that [he] was so into it that he came to the table [read], and wonderfully surprising how cool he was, how funny he was and how unassuming he was.”
FOX plans to premiere the show this fall. West’s episode airs in 2010.
